Investment guide
The world of investment into shares in Slovakia is not so well known, as it is in case of other form of investments or saving of free financial sources. You can take this as our simple guide how to buy the shares. In case you need more information, we recommend you to ask in the banks or your broker.
Where can I buy the shares?
You can buy the shares in the bank or at the brokers, who will realize the purchase on the Stock exchange in Bratislava
How should I act?
It is possible to adress to the banks and to the broker by many possibilities – online, via info lines or directly at the branch offices.
What do you recommend?
As the fist point of contact bigger branch offices are better, but it is not a rule.
Do you have already open a owner's security papers account?
» Yes
» No
What if I have already a security papers asset account already?
If the asset account is managed by the bank, you can buy the shares directly on this account in the bank, which manages this account. If the asset account is managed directly by Central security papers depository, at this account the shares can be bought by any bank or broker, who is the stock exchange member.
How can I find, whether I have already open the account at Central Security Papers Depository (CDCP)?
You can verify this information at the web page of CDCP by entering your personal identification number.
To open an account:
- You open the asset security papers account, on which the purchased shares will be administered
- You can buy the shares directly in the bank at this account, which manages this account for you
Shares purchase:
- You make a commission contract, on which base you will be able to buy shares (give the nods)
- You give the direction to the bank to buy the TMR shares at Bratislava stock exchange (detail TMR shares specification follows)
- Further you will notice in the direction, how much you want to invest or exact number of shares you want to buy
- You indicate the maximum amount you want to invest in the shares
What's next?
- Bank will realize your direction at the stock exchange, this means purchase the shares from investors, who want to sale them
- the bank will send you an information about number of purchased pieces, about the price, together with the fee value, after the shares purchase
What than if I want to trade online?
Only broker, who operates online shares business, is www.patria-online.sk. The commission contract can be sign as correspondence or at CSOB subsidiaries.
What if there will be not enough investors on the market, who want to sale?
The market maker acts at the market. It is is a broker, which buys and sales everyday (www.bsse.sk/). He acts based on the agreement with stock exchange, which commits him to have done the order every day for TMR shares sale in business stock exchange system, this means every day it is possible to buy or sale the shares to the market maker.
What if when I want to sale the shares?
The method is the same as in the case of purchase. As the commission contract is signed already, it is enough just to make a sale direction in the bank, which manages your asset security papers account with shares specification, with number of shares, which you want to sell and with limit price.
Which other benefits can I get by buying TMR shares?
Same as any other stock company also TMR is able to pay a dividend to the shareholders. Dividend payment is decided accordigly to board of directors' suggestion at general meeting, which can attended by every shareholder.

What more is good to know? :

Bank or broker, who is authorized to direct the security papers evidence.
What is it the “assets security papers account”?
It is an account, on which the client has its shares assigned. It can be managed directly by CDCP or Central depository member. If it is manged directly by Central depository, its marking starts with numbers 97, if it is managed by Central depository member, its marking starts with number 3.
What is the difference between investing based on the commission contract and investing into shares founds?
The main difference is the fact that trades based on the commission contract are made on the client’s direction base – this means client decides alone, what kind of security papers holds in his portfolio. In the shares founds a manager decides about purchased security papers portfolio, this means client can not influence this decision.
