Bohuš Hlavatý, Mayor of town Liptovsky Mikuláš Alexander Slafkovský, or director of
aquapark Tatralandia Igor Mráz, officially started the paradise under Tatras.
Even it is freezing outside and the temperatures are below zero, the once in Tropical Paradise
in Tatralandia are in plus values of 32 – 34 degrees. This nice warm in the biggest water
aquapark in Slovakia is whole year round. The relax complex Tropical Paradise is larger
than football field by its area, its architecture has a shape of sea shell and the roof is
made from a special transparent foil under which the natural sunbathing is possible also
in the winter. Two new pools with real salty sea water, two with crystal clean water and
one snorkeling pool with regular water and with a view of live sea fauna, all of them
have nice 34 degrees. The pools are connected by a stylish Barbados bar, from which you
are able to refresh yourself from the pools directly or outside them. The visitors are able to
enjoy the culinary experience in the “tropic” style in Paradiso restaurant. The interior of the
entire tropical zone is designed in right Caribbean atmosphere. Live palm trees, the highest
one is 10m high, banana trees and other tropical flora are identical piece of paradise in the
tropics. You don’t have to travel thousands of kilometers to enjoy the warm. The original
coastal environment in Tropical Paradise guarantees not only relax, daily animation
entertainment, relax in the water therapy or security of the weather also in the winter, but also
an amazing view of the surrounding scenery of West and Low Tattras from the deck chairs for
the all visitors.
Tatralandia is the whole year round open aquapark in the central Europe that offers interesting
attractions for all age categories. It belongs to the main attraction in Liptov area by its 14
pools, 28 water tubes, Fun Park and accommodation complex of cabins and apartments with
the capacity of 700 beds. TMR investments into Tropical Paradise Tatralandia and
connection of Chopok by the new cable cars Funitel and Twinliner in Jasna –Low
Tatras have significantly positive influence on the tourism as they are pushing the
holiday under Tatras to a higher quality level. The holidaymakers can not only skiing in
the winter season but also enjoying the seaside atmosphere of tropical paradise in the
region of Tatras.

Lomnica and Grandhotel Stary Smokovec (50%), Hotel Slovakia and hotel FIS Strbske Pleso. TMR also co-operates the resort Strbske Pleso and from the winter season 2012/2013 leases in cooperation with SMMR,a.s. also the mountain resort Špindlerov Mlyn in Czech Republic. TMR is also the owner of Tatralandia. It is the largest Slovak aquapark with whole year round operation that offers besides the water fun also fun in the Fun Park relax in special tropical hall with sea water same as accommodation in the bungalows and apartments Holiday Village Tatralandia. TMR also owns and rents hotels Kosodrevina, Liptov and Ski&Fun Zahradky and Bungalows. There were invested until the end of the year 2012 in already mentioned resorts more than 144 million Euros that contributes to increase the standard and visit rate of Tatras. The TMR shares are traded on the three European stock exchanges – in Bratislava, Prague and Warwaw from 2012.
