TMR released its interim results for nine months and for the third quarter of the financial year 2014/15. Total revenues for nine months increased 23.8% to EUR 53.4 mil., whilst revenues for the third quarter were up 24.8% totaling EUR 12.9 mil. EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) improved year-over-year 40.5% for the nine months and 46.1% for the third quarter.

“We achieved these positive results for the first nine months of the year thanks to the successful winter and summer season in comparing to the previous, historically extremely unfavorable winter and last year’s cold summer. Also thanks to temperatures low enough for snowmaking and thanks to abundant snowfall, this past winter season continued well beyond Easter, nearly till half May. The results were boosted also by the Polish SON resort, which had a debut in the past season under our management, and from May by Silesian Amusement Park. In the third quarter we mainly optimized the operations of our resorts, aquapark, and hotels, which resulted in an EBITDA increase of 46.1% for the third quarter,” Bohuš Hlavatý, TMR’s Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO, commented on the results.

The number of visitors in all TMR’s mountain resorts reached 1.5 million for the nine months, whereas only the Tatra resorts, Vysoké Tatry and Jasná Nízke Tatry, were visited by 19.4% more visitors than last year. For the third quarter the Tatra resorts were visited by 295 thousand tourists, a 13.8% increase. The Polish resort Szczyrkowski Ośrodek Narciarski (SON) was closed during the summer. Aquapark Tatralandia welcomed 10% more guests for the nine months, whereas 221 thousand visitors came in the third quarter. 63 thousand visitors visited Silesian Amusement Park since May.

The average occupancy of TMR’s portfolio hotels for the nine months improved year-over-year by 3.9 percentage points and by 0.4 percentage points for the third quarter. The average daily rate per room (ADR) for the nine months increased 3.9% year-over-year, whereas it fell 5.7% for the third quarter.
