A rich Easter programme one week later will guarantee interesting moments on ski slopes, a lot of entertainment, relaxation and sunbathing in bikinis as well as a crazy carnival in masks. Symbols of the spring will create a festive atmosphere also in the hotels in the Tatras and in Aquapark Tatralandia. Inhabitants of the Liptov region use to welcome the spring ski season under Mt. Chopok in bikinis every year. The popular mass downhill in bikinis on Saturday 26th March will guarantee a lot of fun and a competition with attractive prizes hosted by Andrej Bičan. Lovers of exotic relaxation can change sunlit slopes for a real Tropical Paradise. Aquapark Tatralandia is hosting a non-traditional Easter pineapple picking on 25th – 28th March. Hidden pineapples will be searched for along with a professional animation team and visitors can test their skills at various workshops. A special carnival in masks only at 1 Euro takes place on the slope of Interski in Štrbské Pleso on Sunday 27th March. A crazy ski race is scheduled for 11:00 – 12:00. Racers will be awarded in various atypical categories such as the fastest mask, the most original carnival costume, the youngest and oldest participant, etc. Read how to get a ski pass at 1 Euro HERE. The Bivac restaurant on Mt. Solisko and the Slalom restaurant at the lower Solisko – Expres chairlift station will be offering delicious grilled Easter specialities.

Easter in the Tatras will be full of traditions and delicacies this year again. Hoteliers have prepared a rich programme with typical Easter egg decorating, egg hunt, an animation programme for children, traditional water pouring as well as whip plaiting. Hotel guests can enjoy spring skiing and folk music by the Cimbalovka band or taste roasted lamb in the Wellness Hotel Grand in Jasná, travel to the highest located Rotunda hotel on Mt. Chopok in a huge stylish Easter egg and take part in folklore water pouring with the Tatra Guy, or pain and decorate Easter eggs with wires in the Tri Studničky hotel and spoil oneself with a special Polynesia massage that uses golden oil. Holiday Village Tatralandia will be offering a tropical atmosphere and workshops, Hotel FIS in Štrbské Pleso will be focusing on old traditions with folklorist Lukáš Janoška on Holy Saturday, Grandhotel in Starý Smokovec will please all taste buds with a delicious Easter brunch, children with live bunnies, parents with piano or saxophone music evenings, pottery making on a potter´s wheel, wood carving and film screening. Guests at Grandhotel Praha in Tatranská Lomnica can look forward to a great Easter feast and egg hunt as well as pleasant piano music evenings.

One can enjoy adventures and celebrate the spring also on ski slopes. There is 40 – 120 cm of snow on Mt. Chopok these days, pistes in the High Tatras are offering 40 – 160 cm of snow and very good conditions.
