The legend of Demänovská Dolina (valley) says a dragon was living there a long time ago guarding a huge treasure. Today, this treasure can be discovered by all visitors who have a searching spirit. Damian, a really friendly dragon is guarding the treasure and will be happy to share it with kids and their parents. They only have to follow a treasure map that is available at the ticket office of Záhradky, in the information centre of Biela Púť or at the ticket office of the cableway Chopok South. The map contains indicia where to find all eight tasks. Treasure hunters will help the dragon open the right door, count his animal friends, recognise dragon imprints, find a herbarium, guess a word at the end of a poem, draw a sport discipline in the map or discover a dragon egg. Kids will help the dragon, find a treasure and get a reward – a dragon badge.

“We are glad that Jasná is becoming an all-year resort. This time we have prepared an attractive programme and kids will simply love it. Following the traces of Damian the Dragon is a nice project that makes the holiday in the region of Liptov even more attractive, in a funny, educational and unobtrusive way. And it uncovers the most beautiful places in the Low Tatras. We have attractive invitations for our visitors coming in August – for the smallest tourists to make a walk with Damian, for older ones to leave a message for the future in a time capsule on Mt. Chopok along with more than 1,400 people who have done so already,“ said the resort brand manager, Sylvia Artzová.

On 29th August 2013, the resort will host a Dragon Day below Mt. Chopok with various competitions, flying kites, games and an animation programme. For more information visit: http://www.jasna.sk/aktivity-a-eventy/eventy/.

Besides a walk in the resort of Jasná combined with solving riddles, there is much more prepared for the smallest explorers: an inflatable castle, a trampoline, sculptures of animals living in the Low Tatras, historical cable cars, slides, a sandpit, swings and a children´s library. Holiday-makers can use modern cableways to get to the most beautiful views, visit the Giant Bike Park for professional or non-professional cyclists, enjoy boating on a lake at Biela Púť or pleasant moments at aprés bars and restaurants.
