Snow Dogs – this is two days of competitions, fairytales, dog performances, avalanche games and great family skiing adventures at the interchange station of Štart.

“A special Pole to Pole expedition with various amusing tasks is prepared for kids on Saturday and Sunday. Avalanche dogs and their Mountain Rescue Service handlers will show how avalanche victims are searched and rescued,“ said Lukáš Brodanský, the event general manager.

There will be fifty Nordic breed dogs and dog sleds on the piste. Kids can join a ride and look forward to some extra surprise this year.

“Every child who brings a plush dog will get a sweet reward,” added Lukáš Brodanský.

The event will be presented by Laco Cmorej, a professional host, choreographer and dancer. Tourists and skiers will be welcome to dance during a performance of the 2 VOISIS band from Košice and a folklore concert of the Vrbovskí víťazi band whose members play original hand-made instruments. Dancers of the UNOSTAR group, the most successful Slovak participant of the European Championships 2014, will be there on both days to present their dance choreography. “The event is free of charge, like always. Walking tourists who would like to see the snow dogs too can buy special reduced-rate cableway tickets,” concluded Lukáš Brodanský. The Snow Dogs event is organised in cooperation with the regional tourism organisation of Región Vysoké Tatry.
