The ski season in the resort of Jasná began at the end of November already, on three southern slopes: Slnečná, Hotelová, Krupová and two northern slopes of Mt. Chopok – Biela Púť and Luková. What´s more, Friday 13th December will be a lucky day for skiers. Those who manage to park on the car park Krupová with 520 parking places will ski for 1 euro only. The refurbished Hotel Srdiečko*** has prepared a tasty refreshment for all guests and skiers served in its stylish interior (new reception area, lobby bar with an outdoor wellness centre and beautiful views of the Tatras). There will also be a special contest and those who can guess how many wooden nogs had been used for wall panelling in the new lobby bar of the Hotela Srdiečko*** can win a weekend hotel package for two people. And everybody who brings a heart of any kind will be given a sweet surprise.
Besides the car park Krupová with 520 parking places, skiers will have ticket offices, an information centre, a trendy Tatry Motion shop, a ski rental and service and an arena for skiers-beginners at disposal – all under one roof on the southern side of Mt. Chopok. The new entry point combined with new Gopass online ski passes offers an intelligent solution for skiers who don´t have to queue at ticket offices anymore. Once getting of the car, they can go straight to the turnstiles and start skiing. Skiers can use two ski lifts to get from the entry point Krupová to Hotel Srdiečko*** and après-ski bar Srdiečko, hotel guests may use a road. There are two red slopes (Krupová and Slnečná) on the southern side, which are ideal for more demanding skiers, less experienced ones can use the blue slope of Hotelová. There will be 61.5 ha of ski slopes available on the southern side of Mt. Chopok in the winter season of 2013/14. A dream of many skiers came true last winter already, when both sides of Mt. Chopok got interconnected via new cable cars – a 15-person gondola cable car in the south and a 24-person Funitel cable car in the north. Tatry mountain resorts, a.s. is a top subject in the field of tourism in Central and Eastern Europe, which itself or via subsidiaries owns and operates attractive ski resorts and hotels in the area of the Low and High Tatras. These include the resort Jasná Low Tatras and the following hotels: Wellness hotel Grand Jasná, Tri studničky and Chalets Záhradky De Luxe. In the High Tatras, TMR owns and operates resorts Tatranská Lomnica, Starý Smokovec and the following hotels: Grandhotel Praha Tatranská Lomnica, Grandhotel Starý Smokovec and hotel FIS Štrbské Pleso. TMR also co‐operates the resort Štrbské Pleso and since the winter season 2012/2013 it has been leasing the mountain resort Špindlerův Mlýn in the Czech Republic in cooperation with SMMR, a.s.. TMR owns Tatralandia, the largest Slovak aquapark with all-year operation, which offers a lot of water and other entertainment in the Fun Park relax or in a special tropical hall with sea water.
