Dreams of most of us are probably the same nowadays. A holiday with beautiful views, a friendly atmosphere, a wide choice of activities in the Slovak mountains, endless relaxation. Hotels in the Tatras are currently not only preparing special summer offers and packages but also arranging strict hygiene measures. “We expect that the Slovak mountains will be only full of Slovak clients this summer, independent travellers who will contact hotel operators to book their holidays directly. There is one positive thing about the whole situation – the Slovaks will rediscover Slovakia as a summer destination where beautiful nature can be combined with relaxation near water, such as the dam of Liptovská Mara or water parks. 13 hotels in our portfolio have been preparing themselves for the new situation so that our clients could enjoy their summer holidays to the fullest and feel safe,” said Juraj Chovaňák, the TMR marketing director.

Online booking, face masks, cashless payment, 2-metre distances at receptions, a personal pen for each guest, hand sanitizers at disposal, meals distributed by restaurants while strict state restrictions apply, room service at a surcharge. These are only some examples of what the hotels are introducing. “Lunch and dinner will be served based on a schedule so that not many people gather in one place. Each room will be using the same fixed table all the time while staying at the hotel. Cleaning will be performed only on demand. Every room will be properly disinfected after the guests check out in order to prevent the spread of the disease. All common areas will be cleaned and disinfected more often,” explained Zdena Ryndová, the chief of the hotel services in the High Tatras.
There will be even a Corona Killer at disposal in all hotel rooms. “It´s not a Superman, who would greet you in your room, but a package with protective equipment plus a hand sanitizer for guests staying longer with us,” added Zdena Ryndová with a smile on her face.

Kid´s corners and wellness centres in the hotels are closed but the Tatras and the Liptov region have a lot to offer. Historic sights, trips with beautiful panoramic views and much more. “Our special hotel packages will include cable car tickets and once our water parks get opened, they will be included too. If you stay with us, you will see that even two weeks are not enough to enjoy everything,” commented Róbert Šmitala, the chief of water park hotel services in the region of Liptov.

This is how TMR hotels are trying to revive the market and launch the summer FIRST MINUTE booking process. “Clients who act fast will be rewarded. If they book their holidays via tmrhotels.com in advance until 15th May, they can get a 30% discount on accommodation. But there is no need to be worried to book that early. Should our clients change their plans at the last moment, we will back them up with free cancellation,” concluded Marián Polák, the chief of hotel services in the Low Tatras.
