The water park, which had been closed since October 2020, has been available for groups of a maximum of 6 people already since 22nd April. The pandemic has got weaker, which has resulted in loosening the restrictions and Tatralandia could enjoy a restart on Thursday 27th May and finally offer year-round clear and salt water pools, indoor water slides, a pool bar serving popular mixed drinks, guaranteed tropical temperatures of over 30°C and real palm trees. Relaxation in the Celtic Sauna World, massages, packs and peeling treatments in the wellness centre are at disposal as well.
“We are very happy to open our year-round complex after long months and let people have a rest and recharge their batteries in pools, saunas and our wellness centre. We have adapted our operation so that everybody can choose what they prefer – coming for three hours or staying all day long. We are ready to follow all precautions to offer as many adventures and unforgettable moments to people as they were used to before. To have more comfort, stay safe and have access guaranteed, we suggest buying tickets online through Gopass in advance,” informed Igor Mráz, the water park general manager.

The precautions and hygiene measures at Tatralandia are based on the Slovak COVID traffic light system. These days, every person who uses the services of Tatralandia must present a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken no more than 24 hours before or a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before. This obligation doesn’t apply to vaccinated guests, children up to 10 years and guests who have overcome COVID-19 and have a medical certificate to prove it based on the applicable decree. Water park visitors can use the COVID-19 testing centre in front of the Tatralandia entrance, which is opened from 9:00anm to 4:30pm. The Tatralandia water park can be entered only by clients who cover their mouths and noses by face masks or scarves – in the entrance hall and in changing rooms. This rule does not apply to pools, the wellness centre, the sauna world and gastronomy facilities. Clients who decide to spend more days at Tatralandia are welcome to stay at the Holiday Village Tatralandia cottage resort with 1-day Tatralandia tickets included in room prices.

The improvement of the epidemic situation in Slovakia and neighbouring countries and related loosening of restrictions has been appreciated also by the Slovak Association of Water Parks, Outdoor and Indoor Swimming Pools. “Tatralandia has joined six opened recreational spa facilities in Southern and Western Slovakia today and could welcome clients after seven months. Many of our Association members have announced to open their facilities in early June. However, the currently allowed maximum capacity (500 people) is similar to the maximum capacity of shopping centres even for 6 biggest parks with areas of several tens of thousands of square metres. Considering the number of vaccinated people and those who have overcome the disease, we think it is necessary to eliminate the capacity limitations so that responsible people can spend their holidays at their popular resorts, outdoor pools or water parks in Slovakia,” said Peter Kolenčík, the 1st vice president of the above mentioned Association.
