The new hotel will attract with its exclusive design and unique location next to the lower station of the Grand Jet cable car in the area of Biela Púť and will be part of a shopping promenade and après-ski activities. “The main motto of the whole project is creating an oasis of absolute peace, gaining new energy and finding inspiration in the centre of all action in the biggest ski resort – Jasná. Intimacy, privacy, focus on personal approach and a boutique feeling emphasised by specific services – all this is the leitmotif of the new Pošta**** hotel under Mt. Chopok,“ said Katarína Lukáčová, the business and marketing director of TMR hotels.

The design of the former post office building was entrusted to the hands of professionals who based their constructional concept on the main idea of the project – a mountain panorama with overhanging rocks, rock crags and dominating dwarf mountain pine in the middle. “When designing the plan for the renovation of the old post office, it was the former building that was our main inspiration, especially its disproportionate, almost unaesthetic proportion of mass on the northern facade. This distinctive factor became the main feature of the whole design. The leading element of our intention is a massive gable roof with an inclined surface that must be repeated around the whole construction in a rhythmical but harmonious way. The saddle roof of our design represents a mountain and the so called panorama continues with smaller peaks on the right and left side of hotel extensions with suites. One can see a picture of a crooked pine tree when looking at an inclined brown element in the middle of the original facade which symbolises a tree trunk, balconies form branches and their panels represent needles,“ said Jiří Zámečník, autor about the concept of changing the old post office to the Pošta**** hotel.

Ján Štetka still remembers the original post office in the ski resort of Jasná: “There was a post office in Jasná since the first cableway started to operate (23/10/1949) and it was located in a wooden building near the lower cableway station in the area of Koliesko. Once an asphalt road was built between the caves of Demänová and the terminal bus station called ´Tri domky´ in the 1960s, the post office from Koliesko was moved there. The municipal council, a travel agency and a restaurant were there with the post office as well. A new building (the Old post office) was built in Jasná in the 1980s and was used for the employees of the Jasná resort as a facility with accommodation. The administrative building of the old post office was opened in 1988 for local inhabitants but mainly for resort guests and offered a high standard of not only postal and telecommunication services but was also selling a wide choice of national and international press. The new Pošta**** hotel, whose design will be based on the former post office building and feature three adjoined roofs, should visually resemble the locality where it is built – the terminal bus station of Jasná called ´Tri domky´, i.e. three houses.“

The new Pošta**** hotel will complete the tourist infrastructure of the above mentioned locality in Demänovská Dolina (valley) by offering accommodation and restaurant facilities that will support tourism in this sphere of the mountain resort. The hotel will feature an exclusive restaurant with a sunlit terrace which will be inspired by American cuisine and the steak culture. The wellness centre will contain a relaxation massage pool, a cooling pool, an infrared, a Finnish and a steam sauna, a Turkish bath, a vital bath and massage rooms. To add a touch of exclusivity, hotel guests will have a possibility to use concierge services of personal helpers who will take care of their luggage, park and wash their cars, clean their shoes, look for their children and pets. The Ski-in Ski-out hotel without conference rooms will also offer a ski depot, a car park and a modern Tatry Motion sports shop.

The Pošta **** hotel stands for a new address of unforgettable moments in Jasná and is about to become the byword for a flawless holiday under Mt. Chopok. The first clients can enjoy its originality and personal approach already in winter. For more information, please visit www.hotelposta.sk.
